I don’t know about you but I sure could use some good news right about now.
A public health outbreak like Covid-19 was unexpected. So many things have changed so quickly. Thankfully we are healthy and are doing our very best to stay afloat.
This is a very tough time for a small local business. Despite all the Canadian government is trying to do in some cases small seasonal business’ may not be eligible for funding. That’s why we need to be resilient and try new things! I’ve wanted to start an online component to our business but found it challenging to put aside the time to research and create and online option for our herb business. This is why it’s always important to see the silver lining and find good things from difficult situations. The good news is this pandemic forced me to finally create an online shop!
We will open the online shop on May 1, 2020 and are able to provide a contact-less pick up option. I’ve had a lot of people ask about when I would open so people can start planning on growing their own food this year, and I’m also very excited about that. Another good thing out of this is people may start the continued practice each year of getting their fingers in the ground and growing healthy, delicious food for their families!
Gardening is not hard, no one needs to be a pro, all you have to do is start. The benefits to your mental health, physical health, and quality of life in general I think are improved by gardening.
I hope you visit herbgarden.ca in May to check out our new online shop and start planning how you can grow and cook with herbs and make your food and life better 🙂
