Being a small family run business is tough.
It’s especially tough, I’m not even sure tough is a strong enough word, during covid19. Small business like ours are at risk of losing everything. We always work hard, but now we are working beyond our limits to ensure we survive. THANK YOU to all of you who have supported us by purchasing herbs at the Herb Garden this year, through our new online shop, as that has become our only revenue. And THANK YOU to all our wedding couples who are understanding that this is hard on us too and we are doing our very best to ensure you can still get married at the Herb Garden.
If you are able, I encourage you to please support any or all local businesses in your community who may need your support, small restaurants offering takeout, local farmers, service related business, musicians and artists. We all need to take care of each other and make sure those business will be around in the future.
In the last 50 years we’ve already lost most of those community-anchoring, family-owned businesses as they were replaced by box stores and left many downtown streets vacant and desolate as huge retail chains opened away from city downtown areas. I’ve seen a bit of a revival in recent years with some amazing entrepreneurs trying to revive communities but now we’re are at high risk of losing what’s left of all those “mom and pop” friendly community business and all the new eclectic shops may disappear completely without your help.
So THANK YOU in advance by doing your part to protect us.
