Each year the International Herb Society selects one herb to be honored as “Herb of the Year”. In 2024 the herb is Yarrow (Achillea).
Yarrow is a vigorous, long blooming ornamental plant that has spread across most of the northern hemisphere. It has been used since ancient times as traditional medicine for countless uses and benefits.
Its medicinal scent has also been used as a natural bug repellant. Fragrant in bouquets, its varieties come in many colours making it a favourite in many sun loving gardens and flower arrangements.
