There is a rustic, natural, relaxed charm about the Herb Garden. The place seems to welcome you like you are home. Considered one of Ottawa’s original barn venues. The business has been operating for 30 years. The 200 year old Heritage Barn offers an impressive glimpse into Canadian farm history. The Herb Garden is an Almonte area venue that specializes in providing rustic & romantic outdoor weddings for up to 130 guests with the addition of a rented tent for dinner service.
Located just 20 minutes west of the Canadian Tire Centre, the location is ideal with a number of bed & breakfast accommodations or larger hotels for your out of town guests. Conveniently located less than 20 km from west end Ottawa, Carleton Place or Almonte, making it easily accessible. Your outdoor wedding will be truly unforgettable at the Herb Garden!
The Heritage Barn
This is the most beautiful structure on the property. Built by craftsmen of the time by hand, without nails or screws, 200 years ago. The Heritage Barn offers an impressive glimpse into Ottawa’s unique heritage. The barn is now used as a picturesque rustic space. We host our Mother’s Day brunch, various events and wedding receptions in this beautiful space. It seats up to 80 guests with beautiful wooden harvest tables for dinner and then the center of the rustic barn floor space becomes the dance floor for the reception. The barn is not air conditioned but has ceiling fans and radiant heaters to make the evening more comfortable for your guests. Our 200 year old Heritage Barn is the perfect place to dine and dance after your ceremony.
